How to Use
Insert the blade onto the blade attachment pins and tighten the blade fastening bolt. Ensure that the cover sits firm onto the blade and that these two parts sit tight onto the blade attachment flange. Do not over-tighten the blade fastening bolt. The blade attachment device has a built-in spring function, which ensures the blade will not loosen.

Hold the cast cutter handpiece firmly by one hand and let the other hand hold the cast or the patient.
Support the cast cutter by placing your thumb in front of the cast cutter. This will enable you to control the depth of the cast cutter blade.

Start cutting by horizontally penetrating the cast. As soon as the cast is penetrated, tilt the handpiece 45°backward, as shown in Picture. Note: You will notice that the PrimeCutter cast cutter tends to move forward, along the planned cutting line, by itself. You do NOT need to apply pressure to the handpiece, just guide the handpiece along the planned cutting line. Applying excessive pressure to the cast cutter during cutting will increase the cutter blade temperature, which might cause pain or burns to the patients skin.

During cutting make small rotations of the cast cutter handpiece (Picture). This prevents the cast cutter blade from getting stuck in the cast and improves cutting by constantly removing the cast grains produced by cutting.

The cutter blade should be changed every 6 month, if the cast cutter is used on a daily basis. As soon as the teeth of the cutter blade become rounded, a major reduction of cutting effect will be observed. This is a clear indication for changing the cutter blade.

Any warranty or manufacturers liability expire immediately if any part of the PrimeCutter is disassembled or serviced by non authorized individuals or organizations.

The manufacturer warrants that the PrimeCutter™ handpiece and power supply will function properly during 12 month from delivery date. Cast cutter blades are excluded from the warranty, since their condition is widely influenced by the way you operate and maintain these items.
If your PrimeCutter™ is not working:
Check that the handpiece cable and Power Supply cable have not been damaged. Scars or cuts into the cable may disrupt the power connection of the handpiece.

Disconnect mains plug and connect again to reset the Power Supply. If the PrimeCutter is still not working, please contact your distributor for service.
